Why We Started Nebraska Power Volleyball Club

Every volleyball club has teams.

We wanted to build something more.

When we started Nebraska Power Volleyball Club, we weren't trying to create the biggest club in Omaha. We weren't focused on banners, trophies, or social media followers.

We wanted to create a place where athletes could grow.

A place where players could learn to compete, overcome adversity, support one another, and discover what they're capable of achieving when they work hard and believe in themselves.

But we also saw another opportunity.

Over the years, youth sports—and volleyball in particular—have become increasingly expensive and demanding for many families. Club fees, travel costs, hotel stays, and year-round commitments can create barriers that prevent talented athletes from participating.

We believe more girls should have the opportunity to experience everything volleyball has to offer.

That's why Nebraska Power was founded with a commitment to making competitive volleyball more accessible.

We work hard to keep costs reasonable. We focus on providing meaningful competition and development opportunities without requiring excessive travel. We look for ways to reduce financial barriers, support families, and create opportunities for athletes who might otherwise believe club volleyball is out of reach.

Because we don't believe a player's future should be determined by how far her family can travel or how much money they can spend.

We believe talent, effort, determination, and character exist in every community.

Volleyball is an incredible sport. It teaches teamwork, resilience, communication, leadership, and accountability. Those lessons extend far beyond the court.

As parents, coaches, and leaders, we've seen firsthand how sports can shape young people. We've also seen how important it is for athletes to feel valued, encouraged, and supported throughout their journey.

That's why Nebraska Power focuses on developing the whole athlete.

We celebrate wins, but we also celebrate effort.

We work on skills, but we also build confidence.

We teach volleyball, but we also teach what it means to be a great teammate.

Most importantly, we want every athlete who walks into one of our gyms to know she belongs.

Whether she's an experienced player pursuing high-level competition or an athlete still discovering her potential, we want Nebraska Power to be a place where she can learn, grow, and thrive.

Our first season exceeded every expectation. We watched athletes improve, friendships form, confidence grow, and families become part of something bigger than a volleyball team.

We saw players take risks, overcome challenges, and discover strengths they didn't know they had.

And we're just getting started.

Our vision is simple: develop great volleyball players, build confident young women, strengthen our community, and make this amazing sport accessible to as many athletes as possible.

Because at Nebraska Power, we're Stronger Together.
