At Nebraska Power Volleyball, our goal isn’t just to build better volleyball players — it’s to build better people.

Every drill, every practice, every team talk has purpose behind it. And that purpose always comes back to our why:

Coaching with Heart and Intention

Our coaches aren’t just instructors — they’re mentors. They’ve been in the athletes’ shoes, felt the wins and losses, and know that what happens between points matters just as much as what happens on the scoreboard.

We coach with intention because we believe the game teaches life lessons:

• Resilience when the score doesn’t go your way.

• Communication when things get tough.

• Leadership in the quiet moments, not just the loud ones.

• Humility and gratitude in both victory and defeat.

We design practices that challenge players physically, mentally, and emotionally — because growth happens outside your comfort zone. But we balance that challenge with care, humor, and encouragement.

Teaching the Whole Athlete

Volleyball is fast, dynamic, and demanding — and it mirrors life in so many ways. Our job is to teach athletes how to respond, adapt, and lead.

That’s why we coach beyond the skillset. We focus on mindset. We celebrate hustle just as much as highlight-reel moments. We teach players to ask questions, seek feedback, and take ownership of their growth.

Because when girls learn to think critically, compete confidently, and care deeply — the game becomes more than a sport. It becomes a foundation for life.

A Club with a Mission

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Nebraska Power Volleyball was created with the vision of more than just competition — the future goals are built on access and impact.  This first year is about getting started – getting a strong foundation with some fantastic families willing to take a chance on this new club.  As we grow, we’re committed to keeping the game within reach for more families, through community partnerships, sponsorships, and support.

Our coaches embrace that mission. They give their time, energy, and expertise not because it’s easy — but because they love seeing athletes grow into strong, confident young women who carry these lessons far beyond the court.
